Vartolo was charged with common assault and intimidation in September amid allegations he harassed and intimidated Cassie Bryan while she was on an early morning walk on Port Kembla Beach on September 26.
The incident prompted Mr Bryan to take to social media as a warning to others.
She claims Vartolo told her "you're cute. I'm down to have some fun".
She allegedly told him she wasn't interested but he allegedly continued to harass her, insisting she enter his number into her phone then forcing her to hug him.
Ms Bryan posted about the incident on the UOW Students Buy and Sell page, which attracted hundreds of comments from other women.
She reported the matter to police on the evening of September 27.
Police arrested Vartolo at a home on Dovers Drive the following day.
Vartolo was charged with one count each of common assault and intimidation and released on conditional police bail.
Vartolo entered pleas of not guilty to both offences when he first appeared in court in October and the case was adjourned.
However, during his second court appearance this week, police revealed they had laid three additional charges against Vartolo relating to a second set of allegations.
It is alleged he assaulted, intimidated and sexually touched a woman at Wollongong Train Station just hours after the first incident is alleged to have occurred.
Vartolo has pleaded not guilty to all the charges.
The case has been set down for hearing in Wollongong on May 8.
