Playing his second first grade game of the season, the Albion Park junior scored 107 in his team's total of 224 in their clash with The Rail.

The Razorbacks, however proved too good, reaching their target in 32 overs.

Albion Park captain David Ross said Hutchison's contribution was impressive.

"In the football off-season he typically comes back to play a few games," Ross said. "He played with us last week and loved it, this week he came back and tonned up, it was fantastic to watch.

"Roosters coach Trent Robinson loves cricket and encourages the boys to do something on the weekend.

"Drew is a very grounded young man, he was brought up very well. He trains, which is a rarity for people of his stature and he loves helping the younger players."

The Eagles may have fallen on Saturday, but Ross said the side will take plenty of confidence out of the match.

Albion Park will face Kookas next weekend, the only team they have beaten this year, and Ross said they're excited to add a second win to the tally.

"We're looking forward to next week, but we're also focused on improving and achieving our team goals.

"We're laying the foundation this year and getting better each week. It's been quite a successful season, even though we've only got one win on the board so far."

Saturday's other matches saw Shellharbour defeat Oak Flats and Lake Illawarra outclass Kookas.
