The multi-discipline star claimed five gold medals and set four new records at the Combine Catholic Colleges Athletics Championships before she won four gold medals and set three new state records at the NSW All Schools Championships.

Her efforts at those two competitions saw the Corpus Christi student recently receive the Wollongong Diocese's most outstanding secondary female athlete award.

Amidzovski will have another big program at the Australian All Schools Championships in Perth, with the 13-year-old contesting the under 14 girls 80 metre hurdles, long jump, high jump, 4x100m relay and the under 16 200m hurdles.

Having won a host of national medals as a primary school student, Amidzovski said she's looking forward to contesting her first Australian Secondary School Championships.

"I'm pretty excited for the competition," Amidzovski said. "I haven't been to Perth before, it should be good conditions.

"I've competed against a lot of these girls through primary school, so my first high school nationals should be good.

"I still get a little bit nervous, but I am used to the atmosphere of nationals and that level of competition."

Despite her success from a young age, Amidzovski continues to set new personal bests and shatter records.

There is one barrier, however the teenager is desperate to break at the competition in Perth.

"I'm aiming to get in the six metres in the long jump this week. My PB is 5.84m, so six metres has been a goal of mine for a while. For the other events I just want to get PBs, that's my main goal.

"I aim to keep up with my training, correct anything I need to and keep getting better and focus on improving."

Amidzovski is one of nine Illawarra athletes who will head to Western Australia for the All School Championships.

Lake Illawarra's Chelsea Ezeoke will look to defend her national title when she competes in the under 14 girls 400m event, with the teenager also set to represent NSW in the 4x100m relay.

Tayissa Buchanan will contest the under 14 girls 800m, with James Healey racing in the under 18 boys 800m and 1500m events.

Ryan Keen and Rosie Tozer will feature in the field events, with Grace Adams competing in the under 18 girls 400m hurdles.

Karlee Symonds will contest the under 18 girls AWD 100m.

Finally, Illawarra Steelers Tarsha Gale junior Teagan Berry will race in the under 18 girls 100m, 200m and 4x100m events.
