Surf Lifesaving Illawarra duty officer Anthony Turner and Bulli SLSC callout teams did surveillance patrols in the morning after an extensive search had to be terminated the previous evening.
Police and Marine Area Command officers also did a sweep of the area from 6am.
No belongings were found on the beach or in the water, and no one has been reported missing.
Lifesavers have now stood down.
A large-scale search was conducted on Tuesday evening after Mr Turner was notified of reports of a possible person in the water, adjacent to the ocean park soccer fields approximately 120 metres off shore.
Multiple emergency services responded including NSW Police, NSW Ambulance, Toll Rescue Helicopter 208, Surf Lifesaving Illawarra duty officers, SLSI UAV Drone, Bulli SLSC Emergency callout teams with the inflatable rescue boat and all-terrain vehicle.
Mr Turner said the IRB team conducted line searches offshore with two lifesaving rescue swimmers searching in the water and rock platforms.
Green ocean dye was released in the water to assist rescue crews from the air and water by showing the direction of the currents.
The search was called off due to darkness and no further reports of missing person.
