The Bomaderry qualifier featured eight South Coast bowlers with Peters winning three knockout matches to book his spot in the finals at Wentworthville Leagues BC on December 14.
Peters had wins over Dylan Essex (Milton Ulladulla) 21-7, Danyon Christie (Corrimal) 21-17, and a 21-8 win over Windang BC teenager Daniel Davies in the sectional final.
Christie recently partnered Greg Jeans to win the 2019 United States Open Men's Pairs title.
Davies progressed to the U25s Singles sectional final with a hard-fought 21-17 win over Noel Stopher (Warilla).
Stopher has enjoyed a successful 2019 and partnered his father Ken to win the Zone 16 President's Reserve Pairs title. Sixteen-year-old Peters is an Australian U18s representative and now joins the other sectional winners from Maitland City BC and Wenty Leagues at the State U25s Singles finals.
The other confirmed finalists are Reece Oliver (Halekulani), Callum Murray (Engadine), Michael Phillips (Merrylands), Joel Nouws (Bateau Bay), Emmett McLeod (NBC Sports) and Thomas Rich (Mudgee).
The tournament was open to male and female bowlers and is a stepping stone towards recognition for the
NSW U25 representative side or even the Open Blues team to compete in Inter-Zone and interstate matches.
Narooma's Jay Breust won the NSW U25 Singles in 2017, while in 2018 Mason Lewis (Engadine) won his second NSW U25 Singles crown after also being victorious in 2015 while representing Merrylands.
Lewis beat Dylan Riley (Maitland City) 21-19 in a high quality final 12 months ago.
