The former Knight and NSW Origin rugby league representative, who now lives in Wollongong, pleaded guilty in Newcastle Local Court on Wednesday morning to one charge of supplying cocaine.
The prosecution withdrew three other counts.
Two charges of supplying cocaine and one count of supplying a trafficable quantity of a prohibited drug were dismissed.
Magistrate David Price granted a defence application for Mullen to be sentenced at Wollongong Local Court.
Mullen will be sentenced on February 26.
