Brett Roe was busted supplying 40 grams of ice on April 18 but received conditional bail on the charge at the time.

However, police will allege that far from curbing his illegal behaviour, Roe subsequently ramped up his business, installing CCTV cameras outside his house and increasing his output to daily sales.

A set of police facts tendered to Wollongong Local Court on Wednesday said detectives monitored Roe selling drugs from his own home and that of his girlfriend, Shanay Howie, on multiple occasions from September until his arrest on Wednesday morning.

A police mole allegedly organised to purchase an "eight ball" (3.5 grams) of ice from Roe on September 2 and again on September 8.

On each occasion the drugs were delivered to the buyer by a designated runner driving a Volkswagen. The runner picked up the $500 payment and was seen to return it to Roe's house, police will allege.

It is alleged Howie, 26, took part in one of the drug transactions and allowed her house to be used as a drug premises. During Wednesday's raid, police discovered $8,000 at Roe's house, which they will allege is the proceeds of crime.

Roe was charged with eight offences and Howie was charged with three, however police said they expected to lay more charges against Roe once they were finished processing items found during the search warrant.

Both Roe and Howie applied for bail in court on Wednesday afternoon but only Howie was released from custody, with Magistrate Roger Clisdell saying it was not certain she would receive a jail sentence if the charges against her were proven.

"I suspect she was the patsy rather than the principal involved in the situation," he said.

"Love does strange things to people."

In refusing to release Roe on bail, Magistrate Clisdell found police had a strong case against the 43-year-old, noting the use of physical surveillance, telephone intercepts and undercover operatives.

Roe's case will return to court in February.
