The roar of vintage aircraft engines will greet Santa when he flies into Shellharbour Airport. The man in red is set to fly in on a helicopter on Saturday at midday.
Santa will be on photo call on both Saturday and Sunday from midday to 2pm at a massive Boeing 747 engine cowl.
As per most tarmac days, members of the public will be able to view the almost 50 aircraft which will be on display outside the airport on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The noise of HARS' de Havilland Goblin jet engine starting up will let visitors know a 1950s former RAAF Vampire jet will be undertaking its planned taxi run.
A sight and sound for aviation history buffs and kids alike will occur on Saturday when one of the museum's 1960s submarine hunting Neptune P2V-7V does a run.
There's also plans for one of the two F27 Fokker Friendships and a former Navy Grumman Tracker to do engine runs.
The Tarmac Days run from September 13-15. Visit hars.org.au for details.
