A victory on a Tuesday at Kembla Grange may be far away from the high stakes of Randwick or Flemington, but expectations are high Godolphin filly Amitto could be racing on the big stage in years to come.

The three-year-old broke it's maiden in the first run of her second campaign on Tuesday, Amitto defeating Gary Portelli's fancied Sebourg and Clarry Conners' Benoni to claim the 1300 metre maiden.
Foaled out of sire Lonhro and dam Anamato, with a bloodline to Redoute's Choice, James Cummings' Godolphin stable is confident Amitto will enjoy success in the future.
Speaking after her win, Godolphin's Darren Beadman said Amitto is growing into a fine racehorse.
"It was a hardy win," Beadman said. "She sat three deep with no cover, but Bucko (jockey Grant Buckley) didn't panic.
"She loomed up nicely and finished off the race well, it's a good start to the prep.
"She wasn't really a two-year-old, she's three and a half now and she's just started to furnish into a nice filly. The best is ahead of her.
"She's won a maiden, James will probably find a nice little class one or maybe a mid-week race for her now. We'll see how she pulls up, that was a good effort, I think she'll go through her grades nicely."
