Pre-season training is in full swing but Illawarra teams are eyeing off their first proper hit out in 2020 at the Fraternity Cup.
Football South Coast has released the groups for the pre-season comp, starting February 13, which features Illawarra Premier League and District League teams.
2019 IPL grand finalists Wollongong Olympic is in Group A alongside Tarrawanna, Woonona and Bellambi.
Olympic coach George Antoniou said it was a tough group, but he would use the Cup to trial young talent.
"I'll be trying different players, different types of formations and things like that. But I think everyone will be trying to find their feet a little bit in those first few rounds," Antoniou said.
"We've got a lot of young players coming through this year and it will give us a good opportunity to see where they're at. Hopefully they make a good fist of it and give themselves an opportunity to play during the season. Keegan Matias is one that has stood out in pre season at this stage, he's doing really well. I think he will push some of the senior boys."
South Coast United, Coniston, Cringilla and Port Kembla make up Group B.
Reigning Fraternity Cup champions Corrimal headline a strong Group C alongside Bulli, Wollongong United and Albion Park.
In Group D, University will take on Kiama Quarriers, Warilla and Picton while Group E consists of 2019 District League prelim finalist Thirroul, and Berkeley Sports, Fernhill and Shell Cove.
2019 Frat Cup quarter-finalist Helensburgh is up against Unanderra, Oak Flats and Balgownie in Group F.
Football South Coast is expected to release the 2020 Fraternity Cup draw next week.
