The free outdoor cinema will feature comedy classics Marriage Italian Style and A Girl in Australia.
It is the first time since the 1980's that the bowling greens have been used to stage such an event.
Fraternity marketing and events manager Kane Baker said interest had been high with people encouraged to bring a blanket, bean bag, pillow or chair for an evening of '60's and '70's cinematic fun.
"We're encouraging everyone to come along to see these old-school favourites and to enjoy some of the gelato, pizza and popcorn that will be available," he said.
"For some, it will be a chance to show the younger generation some of the classic movies of old, while enjoying a family outing on the big screen and under the stars."
The Friday, January 24 night movie will be Marriage Italian Style, a comedy starring iconic Italian actress Sophia Loren.
