Lily Despotoski and her husband Goran were arrested in December 2018 after police raided their Gibbs Street home following an 11-month investigation into ongoing drug supply in the region.

Detectives spent months monitoring Goran's movements as he purchased large quantities of cannabis from Vietnamese up-line suppliers in the Bankstown area.

He would then bring the drugs back to the family home where they were weighed out into smaller bags, vacuum sealed and stored ready for sale.

Lily has admitted knowing of her husband's dealings, allowing it to occur inside their home and openly discussing syndicate business with him.

Lily was originally charged with 45 offences including large scale drug supply however pleaded guilty to just two offences in a plea deal after prosecutors agreed to drop the remaining 43 charges against her.

During a sentencing hearing in Wollongong Local Court on Wednesday, Lily said the situation had gotten out of hand and she feared getting caught "all the time".

"I just couldn't get myself out of it," she told the court.

"It was past that point."

Magistrate Michael Stoddart said Lily had let "a lot of people down" by her actions and only had herself to blame.

"Whatever way you look at it....these are serious charges," he said.

"For the period of offending your part is significant - there was a large amount of cannabis and you were delivering it on some occasions.

"I appreciate it was a domestic situation and that was difficult. But you willingly participated and you put yourself in this position."

However, he agreed to spare Lily a jail sentence, instead imposing a 12-month intensive corrections order, on account of her good prospects of rehabilitation and lack of criminal record.

As part of the order, Lily will be required to perform 200 hours of unpaid community service work.

Court documents said Wollongong detectives set up Strike Force Burgh in February 2018 and began listening in on Goran's phone calls to establish his involvement in the syndicate.

They later bugged the couple's house, which provided further evidence of his role.

Police discovered that Goran was ordering quantities of cannabis from up-line suppliers Xuan 'Peter' Tang, Thi Trang 'Nancy' Vu, Van Thang 'Simon' Tran, all of whom live in the Bankstown or Heathcote areas.

In relation to Lily's involvement, police said they recorded Lily and Goran discussing Goran's drug supply operation including the quality and quantity of the cannabis, prices and customers, as well as Lily accompanying her husband to Sydney to pick up the cannabis.

Meanwhile, Goran has pleaded guilty to multiple large-scale drug supply charges.

He remains behind bars and will face sentencing in Wollongong District Court in February.
