Police will allege Patrick Mulryan broke into homes and businesses, damaged and took property from vehicles as well as stole a car from the Austinmer, Thirroul, Woonona and North Wollongong areas between last Thursday evening and Sunday morning.

Among the items Mulryan allegedly pilfered were $300 Bolle sunglasses, two golf balls, a host of personal documents and paperwork believed to have been left in unlocked cars, prescription medication, electronics including a Kindle, an Apple Macbook and iPhone, and a kid's backpack.

Police carried out a search warrant at Mulryan's Woonona property in the early hours of Tuesday but he was not apprehend until about 9.30am after police spotted him in a nearby street.

Officers chased him through bushland and into a creek. He was eventually subdued however one of the policemen injured his knee in the arrest. Mulryan was charged with 35 offences including 23 counts of larceny.

He did not apply for bail during a brief mention of the case in Wollongong Local Court on Wednesday and prosecutors successfully applied to have his current bail revoked on four other sets of charges still actively before the court.

Those charges include a break-in at the Scarborough Wombarra Surf Club in July last year, in which Mulryan is alleged to have stolen more than $13,000 worth of vital lifesaving equipment.

Court documents reveal police combed the scene for evidence and allegedly discovered Mulryan's DNA on a half-drunk bottle of beer inside the premises.

Meanwhile, Mulryan is also alleged to have been involved in a break-in at The Village at Corrimal building site in October, where several rolls of copper wire were stolen.

Mulryan's cases were adjourned to February 5 for further mention.
