Two people have been charged after a police vehicle was rammed in Wollongong this afternoon.

The damaged police car had to be removed from Flinders Street in the CBD on Thursday at around 3.30 pm after it was rammed by a black Commodore about 2.50pm.
The two officers in the car were not hurt however there was "significant damage" to car.
Another highway patrol vehicle pursued the Commodore north along Flinders Street into Montague Street where the pursuit was terminated due to erratic driving.
Police said the driver drove down the wrong side of Memorial Drive.
A POLAIR helicopter provided air support and the vehicle was found dumped soon after in Ocean Park, Woonona, where three people were seen running from the car.
Police dog squad assisted in the search and a woman was arrested on Bulli Beach, and a man was arrested on Franklin Avenue nearby.
They were taken to Wollongong Police Station. The 29-year-old man was charged with two counts of driving in a dangerous manner, two counts of not stopping and exchanging details, driving while disqualified, using a weapon to avoid apprehension, take and drive a "conveyance" without consent, misleading registration plate, goods in custody, and police pursuit - not stop - drive dangerously.
The 30-year-old woman was charged with "carried in conveyance taken without consent".
Both were refused bail to appear in Wollongong court on Friday.
The search for the third person continues.
