That is the third break and enter at the shop in the past 12 months.
Carabine Surf owner Shane Hornby is now forced to fork out about $800 to give the client a new surfboard after the one being repaired was stolen about 10.15pm on January 25.
Mr Hornby said he found the shed's lock broken off when he opened the Flinders Street store on Tuesday last week.
Upon looking at the security cameras, Mr Hornby saw a man, wearing a hat and carrying a backpack, tamper with the lock, break it off, go inside the shed and come out with a board, only taking a couple of minutes.
"The guy wipes the door handle with a rag then puts on his helmet and gets on his pushbike," Mr Hornby said.
"He also picked up an old surfboard laying nearby, which I left out for anyone to take.
"He then takes off with the two boards under his arm."
The customer had brought the board in to be repaired after it had been run over by a car.
Mr Hornby said the resin was drying on the board and halfway complete when it was taken.
"There isn't enough damage on the shed and the surfboard isn't worth enough to put in the insurance claim," he said.
"It'll have to be a cost to the business. I am going to make that shed Fort Knox now."
Mr Hornby said the previous break-ins had occurred in the store and in the shed, with the latter prompting him to install security cameras above the door.
"My philosophy is, if these people spent more time on a career than they did stealing things then they would have a lucrative job," he said.
"The police officers have done such a good job to investigate the break-ins but it is frustrating when the court let's them out."
