NSW SES says it received 2695 calls across NSW overnight on Sunday as heavy rains and winds buffeted the state.
A number of schools across the Illawarra have been closed for the day and some roads remain closed due to floodwaters.
In positive news, the rains have provided a welcomed spike in dam levels.
