Several roads the region remain closed on Tuesday morning after wild and rainy weather caused flooding across the region over the weekend.
Traffic was made worse around Albion Park Rail after a two car crash on Tongarra Road near Station Road about 7.15am.
Emergency services and Transport for NSW crews were on site to clear the backlog.
The Illawarra Highway is closed in both directions between Princes Highway and Tongarra Road.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area and not drive through floodwater.
Live Traffic is still reporting one of two northbound lanes is closed due to flooding on Windang Road at Bakers Lane at Primbee.
There is also flooding at Port Kembla at Old Port Road between Foreshore Road and Christy drive.
Macquarie Pass remains closed in both directions due to floodwaters.
The section between Robertson and Albion Park is closed with motorists advised to avoid the area.
Wollongong SES crews have completed 200 requests for assistance in the past few days with Dapto attending to another 50 after a deluge on the weekend.
Those have been mainly for storm-related incidents such as fallen trees, flooding, leaking roofs and more.
