New St George-Illawarra captain Cameron McInnes has recovered from his broken leg and will lead a squad headlined by Nines internationals Ben Hunt and Tyson Frizell (Australia), Tim Lafai (Samoa) and Brayden Wiliame (Fiji).
As announced on Sunday, two-try premiership hero Jason Nightingale will come out of retirement for the competition.
At the other end of the scale, young guns Euan Aitken, Mat Dufty, Mikaele Ravalawa, Jason Saab and Tristan Sailor will be looking to make their mark at the Nines.
Development players Adam Clune and Jayden Sullivan - along with Dragons' reigning U/20s player of the year Cody Ramsey - will also get their shot at playing against the NRL's top teams.
The Dragons will kick off their Nines campaign against the Sharks on Friday before facing the Parramatta Eels on Saturday afternoon. The finals will get under way late that day.
