Illawarra was set to face Cronulla Sharks in their season opener last weekend at Collegians Sporting Complex, however the game was abandoned due to rain.
Saturday will also mark the first game for the Bears, with last week's clash with the Roosters also called off.
The Steelers were knocked out in the opening round of the 2019 finals series.
Illawarra's SG Ball and Tarsha Gale Cup sides will also kick off their 2020 campaign this weekend.
The Steelers are defending champions in both grades. The Steelers' SG Ball side will face the Bears while and the club's Tarsha Gale Cup team will tackle Wests Tigers at Leichhardt Oval.
Illawarra claimed the 2019 SG Ball title with a 34-23 win over Manly while the Steelers' Tarsha Gale Cup side won the trophy by beating Newcastle 24-12.
