The popularity of rural lifestyle properties in the region continues, after a Kiama listing sold for more than $4.5 million recently.

'The Lookout Farm' is located at 459 Saddleback Mountain Road, Kiama.
The elevated parcel of vacant land boasts some of the best views in the district.
It recently sold for $4,775,000 to a Byron Bay-based buyer.

Positioned on Saddleback Mountain, it's comprised of 40 hectares (approximately 100 acres) of scenic, gently undulating land and pristine rainforest.
The views stretch from Pigeon House Mountain and Jervis Bay in the south all the way north to the northern Illawarra coastline and back around into Jamberoo Valley.
In December, 'The Lookout Farm' was passed in at auction, with a highest bid of $4,550,000.
It had a price guide at the time of between $4.5 million and $5 million.
There is no home on the property, although there are council-approved plans for a dwelling to be built there.
Selling agent, Neil Campbell from Ray White Gerringong said the new owners planned to build a house on the site.
"It's probably got the most spectacular views of any property I've ever sold, and I've sold some good ones," Mr Campbell said.
"It just has extraordinary views.
"And vacant blocks of land are hard to find. People like to build their own homes... So they've got a blank canvas to work with.
"That location, those views, and you're five minutes out of Kiama, from the shops or the beach."
The property is now used for cattle grazing.
It features about 50 grazing acres, with the balance being natural bush and rainforest.
The property includes a shed with power and water, stockyards and four dams.
Before the recent sale, the property was owned by a family in the Netherlands.
Prior to that, the property was previously bought by a Griffith-based family in 2005 for $2.45 million.
A decade later they put it on the market because it reportedly no longer fit their retirement plans.
It sold in early 2016 for $3,975,000.
Mr Campbell recently told the Mercury that the market for lifestyle properties, particularly in the Gerringong/Foxground area, had become even more popular during the past 12 months.
Mr Campbell defined lifestyle properties as "anything that's rural" and of a large acreage.
Notable lifestyle property sales in the area in 2019 included 'Ocean Pines'.
The Gerringong property was owned by fashion pioneer and Ingham chicken heir Robby Ingham and wife Sarah, before being sold for what was believed to be a record $11.3 million at auction.
