Illawarra-based promotion Rock 'n' Roll Wrestling will continue to host monthly shows during the year at City Diggers, Wollongong.
The next show will be titled 'Gold Rush', and take place on Saturday, February 29.
This will include the 'Gold Rush' ladder match, whereby a briefcase containing a contract for a title match, able to be used at any time, will be suspended above the ring.
Promoter Luke Potter wrestles as 'Hunter PS Hayes', and is also head trainer at the Illawarra's Rock 'n' Roll Wrestling Academy, teaching aspiring wrestlers.
He said they aimed to present family-friendly entertainment, and help "make it mainstream again".
"The school's booming because we have monthly tryouts," he said.
"It's about trying to make the local people the stars."
Following the growth of the independent wrestling scene internationally, as well as the advent of the All Elite Wrestling promotion, many have suggested pro-wrestling is set for another boom period.
"It's definitely going through a boom, and there's a lot more interest locally," Potter said.
"We hope to capitalise on that and bring it to the people of the Illawarra's attention, to come and try out some great entertainment for the family and all ages.
"They've got to come and experience it live to get the full effect of it, and then they'll be hooked."
Doors 6.30pm, show starts at 7pm.
