The closures of Picton Road and the M1 Princes Motorway between Memorial Drive and Bulli Tops were originally planned for last week but delayed due to heavy rains.
The roads will close at 8pm, with Picton Road eastbound closing a half-hour earlier at 7.30pm.
It is a closure that happens every three months to allow for sign and guardrail maintenance, vegetation trimming and other work to be carried out.

During the closure light vehicles can use Bulli Pass and Memorial Drive in place of the motorway, and Wilton Road, Appin Road, Bulli Pass and Memorial Drive instead of Picton Road.
Heavy vehicles can also use the pass and Memorial Drive.
A Picton Road detour of the Hume Highway, Appin Road, Bulli Pass and Memorial Drive is not suitable for vehicles longer than 19 metres.
Detours will extend travel times by between 15 and 40 minutes.
