The only player to start every game this season, Blanchfield averaged 13.6 points 3.9 rebounds and 1.3 assists across 28 games, also leading the club in minutes.
The only regular scoring force for the club this season, Blanchfield grabbed a memorable career-high 36 points in round 14 as he led a largely inexperienced line-up through an injury-riddled season.
Sunday Dech was also rewarded for his breakout campaign with the club, named the club's Defensive Player of the Year and picking up the coveted Member's Choice player of the year.
It follows his career-high 26 points against Sydney on Friday, concluding a campaign that more than justified the faith shown by coach Matt Flinn on bringing the Perth-raised 26-year-old east on a multi-year deal.
"It's been huge, I can't thank Flinny enough for believing in me personally and also the young guys and everyone on our team," Dech said post-game.
"We've been given that opportunity this year from Flinny. He could've gone 'nah, I'm going to go with the superstars' and have them roll in but he trusted us and let us really grow through error.
"Obviously through injury and stuff we got a few more opportunities through that but the belief he had in us to go out there, make mistakes and learn from them has really propelled a lot of us this year.
"We've got unwavering belief in our talent, it's just about performing out there. We're going to have a big off-season and come back here with a lot of game experience under our belt and ready to tackle it head on.
"It didn't go our way this year with the wins and losses but we showed character and a resilience that's going to springboard us next year and propel us to a better season."
Dech is also in the running for Defensive Player of the Year and Most Improved honours at Sunday's NBL awards.
Emmett Naar was also among the award winners at The Sage, picking up Players' Player in a season that saw him move past the 50-game milestone in the NBL.
Along with Dech, Angus Glover and Sam Froling, Naar is contracted for next season, with Flinn confident the payoff on his youth investment will come in 2021 in what will be his second season as a head coach.
"Since around December when a lot of catastrophes started to happen with injuries and guys coming in an out and trying to find our new identity, we approached it at that time with a real growth mindset on where we're going for the future," Flinn said.
"With guys getting accelerated minutes, [Dech] has really taken that opportunity and has shown now that he's, not only a quality player, but will be for a long time to come. He's just one example.
"Whilst the record's not good, success is measured in different ways. Obviously we're not happy with where we're at in terms of where we finished on the ladder, we are quite happy with the forward progress we're making and the trajectory of the club.
"You probably saw a little snapshot of what will be moving forward next year with a couple of the young guys. We'll rebuild and look at few areas where we need to improve.
"The learning curve we've all been on this year has been enormous and we're going to be better for the run."
The prestigious Club Person of the Year went to Kane Ellis from the Illawarra Aboriginal Medical Service after his efforts in driving the club's groundbreaking Indigenous Round initiatives over the past two seasons.
