'Aberteifi' (named after a small town in Wales) is located at 24 Barney Street, Kiama.
The home has a price guide of $1.2 million.
Sitting on 1073sqm, the three-bedroom house features a Victorian/Georgian-style facade with the decorative fretwork and veranda.
The home was originally built for George Lawrence Fuller circa 1860.
Mr Fuller was considered a pioneer and leading businessman in the area, and was the father of NSW Premier George Warburton Fuller.
The Victorian/Georgian home is now for sale after almost 80 years in the current family's care.
Family member, Sydney-based Edwina Ekins said retired farmers Stuart and Grace Lavinia Graham (her great-grandparents) paid £700 for the home, relocating from Jamberoo in 1942.
"My mother Jan grew up in the house before marrying and moving to rural NSW," she said.
"Her parents continued to live there."
Ms Ekins said they visited their grandparents every school holidays at the property.
"We loved swimming in the rockpool, going to the beach, walking to the shops, eating ice-cream and fish and chips - all the things we couldn't do on the farm," she said.
Ms Ekins said the house is "completely unique - it has enormous character, charm and style".
"It is light and breezy in the summer and warm and cozy in the winter," she said.
"It has a lovely veranda out the front and a large, flat garden front and back.
"And it's 400 metres' walk to the beach."
She said the property was was used as a weekender, "but then when the grandchildren started high school and had Saturday sport commitments that became difficult".
"The house was rented out for five years and when the tenant left we made the difficult decision to sell," she said.
"We are very sad about selling but have to be realistic about our time commitments with working parents, busy teenage and uni kids and other demands on our time including running a large sheep farm.
"It is time for a new owner to love and cherish the house for the next 80 years.
"It's the type of house you want to preserve and take care of, but just no one in the family has the time to do that."
It is zoned R3 medium density with Kiama council heritage listing.
The property will be auctioned on February 22.
The selling agent is Andy Wharton from First National Coast & Country.
Mr Wharton said the home was part of an increasingly rare group of original properties remaining in the central area of Kiama.
