Shellharbour captain Ned Taylor is confident there will be no leftover demons from the one-day final when his side contests Sunday's Twenty20 decider.
The game will be a rematch of the 50-over final, Shellharbour facing one-day champions Lake Illawarra.
While the Lakers claimed a comfortable victory on that occasion, Taylor is optimistic his side can turn the tables this weekend.
"The one-day final was disappointing," Taylor said. "But it's not driving us.
"The result looked more flattering on paper than perhaps it did on the day. There were a couple of moments where they won those little battles and came out on top.
"It's a different format now, a new year. Twenty20 can be hit and miss, we haven't played a lot of it this year with the poor weather. It's very difficult, finals can go either way, we're looking to play to win."
