The Marlins have been grouped with Sydney rivals Eastern Suburbs and ACT clubs Easts and Uni Norths for the event.
The First Nations 7s will feature in group three, while Queanbeyan were drawn in group two. Warringah and Norths headline group one.
Australian sevens star Jesse Parahi was in attendance for the draw on Thursday, the Bulli resident eager to see the sides take to the field.
"It's one of the best tournaments in Australia," Parahi said. "My first tournament here was in 2009, I was playing for Tuggeranong Vikings and I loved it.
"I was supposed to have a follow up in 2013, but I didn't get the opportunity. I may get a run around this year, we'll see what happens."
Parahi will be watching on at Kiama Showground while his Australian teammates take on the world's best at the Los Angeles Sevens.

The tournament comes at a crucial time of the year for the side, with the Tokyo Olympics fast approaching.
Australia has been inconsistent throughout the current World Series but Parahi said his team is building towards the landmark event.
"We've been a team that if you look over the past few years, we can beat the teams like New Zealand, Fiji, South Africa. It's just about doing it consistently for us, which has been a little bit of a struggle.
"We're making sure we're at the top of our game for that important Olympic tournament. If we keep building and tracking the way we are, we're definitely in with a chance."
