THE Illawarra Steelers continued their unbeaten start to their Tarsha Gale title defence on Saturday, by downing rivals St George 26-10 at Mascot Oval.

Tries to Viena Tinao and Ula-Mari Time-Cribb in the first five minutes laid the platform for Daniel Lacey's side - who scored five four-pointers to two on the day.
The star of the show was Stingrays of Shellharbour's Teagan Berry, who scored a hat-trick - taking her seven tries through the first three matches in 2020.
Rounding out the scoring for Lacey's side was Olivia Vale and Tinao, who landed two and one conversions respectively.

In the loss, the Dragons tries were scored by Breeze E'e and Bienne Terita.
The other Steelers side to maintain a perfect record in 2020 is Ben Linde's SG Ball side. Linde's side, who also won the competition in 2019, smashed the Western Suburbs Magpies 36-12 at Campbelltown Stadium thanks to tries from Toby Boothroyd (two), Benjamin Lavender, Cooper Tunbridge, Phoenix Vetenibua-Finnerty, Tyrell Sloan and Tyrone Roberts - with the latter also landing four kicks.

The final Steelers team in action on Saturday was Jono Dallas' Harold Matthews side, who dropped to 0-3 on the season after falling 20-10 to the Magpies.
In the 10-point loss, James Walsh and Noah Guyatt scored four-pointers, as Taj Ford landed one goal attempt.
Next round, Lacey's under 18s girls side travel to St Marys Leagues Stadium to face the Panthers while Linde's squad take on the Victoria Thunderbolts at Melbourne's Haines Drive Reserve.
Dallas' team have the bye in round five.
