The competition's semi-finals, were officially called off this week due to the spread of coronavirus, with minor premiers Lake Illawarra handed the two-day trophy.
The title caps a three-year reign of dominance for the Lakers, the side winning all silverware on offer in each of the past three seasons, the one-day, Twenty20 and two-day trophies.
While he would have liked to win this championship on the field, Ulcigrai said his team has earned their results over the past few years.
"This success is not coming easy," Ulcigrai said. "We've worked hard to be in the position we're in. This year our training's been stronger, the guys are putting in a lot of time and effort to improve.
"It doesn't surprise me we finished on top by the amount of effort the guys have put in this year."
With the club set to celebrate their 75th anniversary next summer, the Lakers have quickly turned their focus to achieving a fourth-straight clean sweep.
Ulcigrai expects much of the side to return and he's confident Lake Illawarra can see off their rivals yet again.
"As a club across all grades we're in a great place. Going into our 75th anniversary next year, hopefully we can build off this platform and have more success.
"We're confident in first grade we'll be up the top. You want to be in the hunt, that's why we play, we play for trophies."
