The Blaze are set to debut in the NSW Premier League's open and under-23s grades. However, all netball has been postponed until at least early May due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Blaze chairwoman Karina Franke said the two teams - coached by Marj Parr and Regan Tweddle - were set to perform well when the season gets under way.
"We would be happy if we finished middle of the road. But if you look at our talent, I don't think finals netball is out of the possibility for either side," Franke said.
"We've had 13 South Coast players in the NSW Premier League over the past couple of years. When we announced this team, we were absolutely astounded by the interest of those players to come back and play for South Coast. In addition to that, we've been able to attract other players that are high profile and are currently playing or have played in Suncorp Super Netball.
"The quality of our teams is not generally what is expected for an opening season of a new franchise. We have actually been able to generate some really competitive teams."
The Blaze's open side is set to be led by three players with Super Netball experience: Taylah Davies, Katrina Brice and Tayla Fraser.
Wollongong's Davies plays for Giants Netball and was previously part of the NSW Swifts squad.
Brice has played for three Super Netball clubs while Fraser made her Swifts' Super Netball debut last year.
"Taylah Davies is a basically one of the key reasons for this franchise. Taylah is a local netballer who was required to leave the Illawarra to pursue netball at an elite level, and she has come back. She's going to be one to watch," Franke said.
"We've got Kristina Brice who has a significant playing history in Suncorp Super Netball, she's a really exciting and dynamic goal shooter. We've also got Tayla Fraser who is a current NSW Swifts player.
"We also have a number of local talents including the Chadrawy sisters [Annalise, Kristen and Laura], and some local girls from Shoalhaven in Elecia Parrot and Shelby Mallon, who are really exciting to watch.
"We've got Suncorp talent and emerging local talent. You really couldn't ask for more in our first season."
