Emergency services were called to the apartment block on Wednesday morning with paramedics transporting the 58-year-old to hospital by ambulance.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the woman, but she was declared dead on arrival at the hospital.
Police were told the woman had been self-isolating after returning from overseas on March 19.
Initial reports said the woman was suspected of suffering from COVID-19. However a police spokeswoman said the death was not believed to be related to coronavirus, however tests were being conducted as a precaution.
The spokeswoman said the site had also been isolated as a precautionary measure, with Fire and Rescue NSW HAZMAT crews and NSW Health staff remaining at the property on Wednesday afternoon to undertake cleaning and decontamination.
A man and boy who were inside the apartment with the woman have been taken to hospital for testing.
