The waiting game continues for all players after Netball NSW suspended matches and training sessions for the foreseeable future due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Illawarra District Netball Association president Dianne Elvy said "July was our last resort" to start playing.
"Our comp was due to start on May 2, but that's been canned," Elvy said.
"We're waiting like most people on a date from the government and Netball NSW as we can start playing again. If we can't start in July, we'll have to cancel.
"I started playing netball when I was in primary school and I've never experienced anything like this. It's a new adventure for everyone."
Elvy said her association had more than 3500 members, who were using social media to stay in touch during the shutdown period.
"We'd have, at any one time, 1000 people at Berkeley at any time during the day. It's a big loss," she said.
