The Foragers Group has been working hard behind the scenes in recent days to get the online market concept ready.
Expressions of interest are open for those interested in taking online orders. After an approval process online stall holders will receive individual log -n details. They will then be able to see any orders they have received in real-time before packing and dispatching them.
Kirrily Sinclair said launching the new marketplace during the coronavirus lockdown was an opportunity for Foragers to still stay connected with the community.
She said it was an opportunity for stall holders to keep supplying regular Foragers Market customers as well as reach a new wider online market community. The Foragers Group has more than 80,000 followers on social media.
"We're expecting a good response from our loyal followers," she said.
"We'll be giving priority to fresh food and grocery items first at this stage so we can support the health of our community in the first instance.
"Then we will roll out artisan stalls over the coming week.
