Adam McMahon, director of Bulli-based Dignam Real Estate secured a position in the Real Estate Business (REB) Top 100 Agents 2020.
"It's one of those jobs where you probably get more enjoyment by helping people achieve their goals," he said.
"I know that sounds corny, but if you're helping people achieve their goals, then they're happy and they tell their friends, and they tell their family, and you're going to get more business."
Mr McMahon was ranked No.93 in the latest list; down 30 spots from the previous year. This was his third time making the list.
"The ranking difference is probably because I've been more business-focused in the past 12 months, focusing more on recruitment and driving the business," he told the Mercury.
"But it's been a good 12 months.
"I feel happier with the recognition for my team more than anything else.
"It's more them being recognised in my opinion, that they see all the hard work that we're doing is paying off."
The list ranks real estate sales agents across Australia according to a range of metrics, including the number of sales, total sales volume and average sales price, for the 2019 calendar year.
Mr McMahon sold 88 residential properties with a total value of $78,821,300, at an average sale price of $895,697.
Now in its ninth year, the REB Top 100 ranking is an initiative of the Real Estate Business media platform.
The data collected for the ranking is verified by a senior member of each sales agent's network, or their accountant where they are independent operators.
