The Wollongong charity has had to cancel all planned fundraising events during the COVID-19 lockdown.
And by supporting the dinner people will be able to help it continue the work it does in the community.
Need a Feed is inviting people to order meals to share at home and raise funds for Need a Feed's community service.
The meals can be ordered on the Need a Feed event page and picked up drive-thru style in the car park at Northern Illawarra Uniting Church, Bulli between 5pm and 6pm on May 22.
There is also an option to have it delivered between Woonona and Thirroul by volunteers.
"Meals are available for $4 per person or $12 per family of four," Shaz Harrison said.
"Or a donation can be made to Need Feed directly via the web site or event link".
Ms Harrison said it was the second year Need a Feed was celebrating Giovanna's life at a community fundraising dinner. Giovanni's daughter Leanna said her mother loved family and loved cooking for others.
"She would be so pleased to know we are celebrating her life in this way".
Ms Harrison said the funds raised on May 22 will help Need a Feed continue providing food to those in the community who are going without.
"Some people are fleeing domestic violence situations with nothing but their children and the clothes on their back. 1500 people each night in the Illawarra are sleeping 'rough, on a friends lounge or in their car".
