The Target stores in Wollongong, Warrawong and Shellharbour will not be closed, according to the struggling store's website, and will remain as Target stores - at least for the forseeable future.

Target had published a list of the 53 stores closing, and those which will be turned into Kmart - with Nowra the only store in the region to face closure in mid-2021.
Bowral, Bega, Ulladulla and Picton stores will be among roughly 50 stores across Australia converted into Kmarts.
Despite the list, the retail union said it would be watching Target's closure roll out closely and thought the list of closing stores could change between now and early next year.
"If we look at what happened with BIG W there was a list but it was variable and the number of stores BIG W was considering closing reduced over time," NSW shop workers union secretary Bernie Smith said.
"They have only closed three stores so far. Our real priority is that everyone who is currently employed will have ongoing employment at the end of this process."
Target's Managing Director Marina Joanou has asked for "patience and understanding during these challenging times".
"We are committed to providing every opportunity for redeployment for our team members who will be affected by these changes," she said.
"We have many Target stores which remain unaffected by today's announcement and you can continue to shop with us online with the same ease and convenience."
