Fire and Rescue NSW crews from Bulli and Wollongong are working with paramedics and the Ambulance NSW rescue helicopter to gain access to the man.
He reportedly who fell off his bike in the bush about 9.30am this morning, approximately a 10 minute walk from the hairpin turn at Bulli Pass.
According to reports from crews on scene, he was complaining of abdominal pain but did not appear to have broken any bones and did not lose consciousness during the accident.
However, the patient can not be accessed by a vehicle, which has meant a complicated rescue has been required.
Fire and ambulance crews are attempt to use a stretcher with a large single wheel to transport the patient to safety.
