Capt Greg Barea dusted off the mothballs on El Bandito and fished with Tony Gardiner at the Banks, hopefully for a kingfish but found it very tough fishing due to honestly, thousands of chinamen leather jackets in such an aggressive mood.
They were very successful in biting off nearly every rig put over the side but they managed a few reds, mowies and a solid sand flatty.
The only kingfish they managed to hook and get up alongside got smashed by a few aggressive whaler sharks.
Tony Gardiner put out a slimie frame on a short wire trace and within a few minutes it got eaten, resulting in a tag-and-release of a whaler shark estimated at 50 kilo.

In some rather sad news, Col Sinclair closed his Adaminaby Angler shop back on the long weekend owing to fires and state health restrictions. Best wishes for the future Col.
