Dr Thean Soo Chin, also known as Christopher Chin, was arrested at Balgownie Medical Centre on October 24 last year and charged with four offences after one of the men reported the alleged abuse to police.
Chin fronted Wollongong Local Court the same day and sought bail but was remanded in custody for five weeks until being granted strict conditional bail in the NSW Supreme Court.
Meanwhile, the second man came forward in November claiming he too had been assaulted by Chin while a patient at the centre.
Police subsequently charged Chin with four additional sexual assault offences. He was hit with a further five charges in April this year, bringing his total number of charges to 15.
However, in Wollongong Local Court on Wednesday, prosecutors revealed they had reached an agreement with Chin's lawyers to proceed to trial with 10 charges, while the remaining five were formally withdrawn.
The charges include two counts of aggravated sexual assault and five counts of aggravated sexual touching.
Police will allege Chin's molestation of one of the men between 2016 and 2017 included touching him inappropriately on the backside and inner thigh and placing his (Chin's) genitals into the palm of the man's hands.
The second alleged victim (but the first in time to make a report to police), claims he allowed Chin to sexually assault him multiple times between 2017 and 2019 in exchange for addictive painkillers.
Chin, who remains on conditional bail, has pleaded not guilty to all the charges.
He will face Wollongong District Court for arraignment on July 28.
