Mrs Raschilla would normally have to travel to the Teachers Health Centre in Surry Hills to get state-of-the-art eyecare and dental services for the whole family.
Located in the heart of Wollongong at 1 Lowden Square, the Health Centre officially opened its doors in mid-June.
With over 16,000 members in the region, Wollongong was chosen as the location of the Fund's newest Health Centre, providing local members with access to high quality eyecare and dental services with exclusive offers and discounts.
"Us teachers can be very time poor between school and family life so it's great we can keep up with our eye health and have dental check-ups under the one roof," she said.
"I've been a member for more than 10 years, and Teachers Health has always been there for me and my family, including the birth of my two sons."
Teachers Health Centre in Wollongong joins five other locations across New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia.
"We've invested in Wollongong because it's home to one of our largest membership bases in the state. It's our way of giving back to our loyal members in the region, providing extra value for their membership with us," Teachers Health CEO Brad Joyce said.
"Our aim is to support the health and wellbeing of our members. As a not-for-profit health fund, our focus is on giving more back to our members, and our Teachers Health Centres are just one way we do this."
Mrs Raschilla, who is currently teaching EAL/D (English as an additional language or dialect) and languages such as Italian, said she and her family go for dental check-ups twice a year and get their eyes checked every year.
Everyone is welcome to access services at Teachers Health Centre, which for health and safety reasons, is operating by appointment only.
