The two-year-old will contest an 1100 metre maiden plate at the Shoalhaven venue in just the second start of his career.

Having finished second on debut, Luke Price is confident the gelding will go one better on Friday.

"He was good first up," Price said. "He's very raw, very new, he has a lot of ability. He's still learning his trade, hopefully tomorrow he breaks his duck and he may get a little holiday.

"He's a city galloper if he keeps going the right way. He's so raw, he can do a lot wrong, but he's very promising. He's just got to keep it together and he'll be winning plenty of races. He keeps us on edge most days, but he's worth the extra work."

Another of the stable's promising youngsters will be on display at Nowra, with recent addition Giordano contesting an 1100m class one.

Having picked up the gelding from Kris Lees earlier this year, Price conceded he's still working out the three-year-old's quirks, but he recognises he has a talented horse on his hands.

"He's also got a lot of ability, but is still very immature. We were a bit disappointed with him second up, we'd like to see the track a soft five.

"He's a fast horse, he needs to be a little stronger at the back end, he might lack that strength right now, but he's got the talent. We're still working him out, there'll be more to come.

"We've got Adam (Hyeronimus) on him, he'll suit the horse. He likes to be on the speed and Adam is good on a horse like that, hopefully he can get the best out of him."
