Ms Saliba, as Shellharbour Mayor was on hand to officially open stage one works of the revamped Albion Park Rail park.
The all-inclusive playground with a mammoth tube slide - is already complete.
Member for Kiama Gareth Ward dropped by to announce that the State Government was adding an extra $250,000 in funding. This is on top of the $150,000 the government provided for stage one works.
"The latest funding is so we can extend the learn to ride facilities as well as the ninja warrior track which I think will come in handy for budding politicians preparing for question time in the future," Mr Ward said.
This was music to the ears of a "thankful" Cr Saliba.
"This project is about a $700,000 project and we are really grateful to the money the state government are providing for us to be able to do it," she said.
"I know that the ninja warrior course down in Reddall Reserve is always full of people, there are people lining up, waiting for their turn on that course.
"It is very popular and I know that it is going to be popular here as well. In fact it lends itself for us to consider running Warrior Australia events here in Shellharbour City in the future."
