A statewide computer drop to students over the past week has been led by the Department of Education, who has identified schools and students who needed additional access to technology and the internet at home.
The department delivered more than 10,000 devices before the start of the school holidays.
The Minister for Education and Early Childhood Learning, Sarah Mitchell, said that the additional devices are to help students get on with their studies and access useful resources after the disruption caused by COVID-19.
"We have provided more than 10,000 additional devices to schools, prioritising HSC students, and we have over 1000 more devices ready for distribution should the need arise," she said.
"It has been a disruptive term for our HSC students, and I want to make sure that going forward they have as little distractions as possible. Ensuring access to the HSC Hub through these additional devices is a good way of doing that."
Ms Mitchell said the new HSC Hub is an online home for HSC support material including online lectures, demonstrations and other resources for HSC success.
The HSC Hub solution was designed following a survey of HSC teachers to determine what additional support teachers felt their HSC students needed and what form this support could take.
