The strain is evident at some clubs and easy to read on individual faces.
Others are relishing the unique nature and ever-changing landscape.
Western Bulldogs defender Easton Wood believes season 2020 is "an adventure" and is embracing the hub life in Queensland.
"The only constant is change so just open yourself up to that and it becomes a lot easier," he told Warrnambool Standard this week.
"Put your energy into controlling what you can control, otherwise if you're wasting it on stuff you can't, you're just going to end up tired, burnt out, stressed or annoyed."
