The trainer will take Nindamos and Bye See to the Sydney track, with Lazzarini hoping for some firmer ground.

That is looking unlikely, with showers forecast in Rosehill on Friday and Saturday.

Nindamos claimed an impressive win in his first start under Lazzarini at Kembla Grange in May, but has struggled in two city runs since on heavy tracks.

The four-year-old will contest a 1200 metre benchmark 78, with the course currently rated a soft six.

"Nindamos will run a good race," Lazzarini said. "We'll see the best of him when the tracks are drier.

"He goes alright through the heavy going, but doesn't fly, it takes the edge off him. When he won here (Kembla) he got on top of it, it was a good ride by Winona.

"He's been bogging down a bit the last two runs. He'll run a fair race, but I'd love to see him back on the dry."

Bye See has had more success of late on a heavy track, with the mare to contest a 1500m benchmark 78.

The race will also feature Theresa Bateup's Monegal, who will chase a third-straight placing at the Sydney venue.

Lazzarini has increased Bye See's volume in recent weeks and he expects the six-year-old to continue building throughout the campaign.

"Bye See has been going well, but it will take another run or two to get to her top form. She's going well for an older mare, but being older, she just needs a little bit more work to get to her best."
