In a tribute to one of the more famous post-try celebrations - and in support of an initiative to raise money for the Men of League Foundation - Norman channeled Ridell in applauding his own match-winning try.
Conspicuously, he didn't attempt to clear the fence in what was surely relief to coach Paul McGregor and NRL staff watching players like a hawk amid COVID-19 restrictions.
"I think if I jumped the fence I'd be missing this week," Norman said.
"It's lucky we thought about that. We spoke about it a couple of weeks ago and said we needed to get around it for a good cause.
"Frizz reminded me to do a try celebration and it's lucky he did that because there's a lot of money going to the Men of League. I thought why not do Piggy Riddell down here where he did it so it was good fun."
