The score was 1-all at half time when play at Tarrawanna Oval was abandoned early due to heavy rain. The Mercury understands the game will be completed at a late date, under Football South Coast rules.
Corrimal took the lead after 11 minutes when Matthew Galanti found the back of the net, however, the home side swiftly responded through Omi Uchendu.
The result means the Blueys and Rangers were forced to share the points.
Ferraro, who was forced to watch from the sidelines due to a hamstring complaint, said it was "horrible out there" for both teams.
"They were running the ball and the ball would just get stuck in the water. One side [of the field], you couldn't even see the line - that's how much mud there was. The players were just kicking it long, pretty much that's all they could do.
"We went down 1-0 and fought back. They battled really well in the conditions. I felt like we were actually getting on top in some scenarios. I felt like we could have jagged another goal, we had heaps of chances to jag something but their keeper ended up pulling off a good save. It ended up becoming unbearable in the end."
Ferraro said he hoped to be right for Tarrawanna's round two clash with Wollongong United on Saturday.
"I got a tweak in the hamstring," the captain said.
"I can still run and that. But when I stretch it, it gets a little sore. But it's only very minor so it should only be a week [on the sidelines]."
