The judges described it as having a dynamic and diverse team of early childhood educators led by Marie Armstrong Smith.
Early Years Care continues to grow by providing home based educators with innovative training, direction and support for home based caring. During COVID-19 the educators have constantly adjusted to changing requirements and needs of families.
"Flexible hours and a willingness to provide care to school aged children has become necessary. But all this has been achieved while maintaining quality standards and a holistic approach. COVID-19 has been tackled head on with each educator empowered and equipped to follow the health and safety protocols to the letter for everyone".
Through it all Early Years Care educators have continued to provide children opportunities such as involvement with best practice recycling, community gardening, diverse library reading and story telling sessions and learning from local indigenous leaders.
Ms Armstrong Smith said any business is only as good as its team the award was for all the 60 educators at Early Years Care.
"I have lovely people working with me. I am so proud of them all. We have over 500 children enrolled with us and this award also goes to them because during those first few years if you can offer quality care, love and good experiences for them that can set them up on a pathway of learning for life and that is what we are about".
Ms Armstrong Smith said like all businesses times have been challenging recently and it was nice to be able to celebrate the successes and the resilience of teams like the one at Early Years Care.
