Everyone has to catch Figtree, after the Kangaroos scorching start to the season, but premiership coach Rod Richards is adamant the Power have plenty of shots to fire.
Star midfield talent like Jack Mahony and Nick Baggio are still to return, the kind of quality which Richards expects to make them a finals force again.
Kiama were dethroned as premiers and missed out on the grand final last year, but will gain an insight into their standing in the competition against the Wollongong Bulldogs at Bonaira Oval on Saturday.
"It's only early, but these are the games you get up for," Richards said.
"We expect the Bulldogs to be very competitive this year and even though we haven't seen them yet, when they've got (Patrick) Walker firing, they're a handful.
"We've still got a couple of players to come back, but it's also presented an opportunity for some young players to come in. And we know we've got work to do, Figtree were super impressive against us (winning by 98 points), as good as I've seen in the AFL South Coast league."
Teenage talent like Ethan Smith and Ryan Dragarski are leading the charge for a new era of success, but face a stern challenge against the Bulldogs, who like Figtree are so far unbeaten.
Northern Districts travel to Nowra to tackle Bomaderry in a scrap which could define finals hopes.
A winless, but improving Shellharbour will test themselves against the reigning premiers Wollongong Lions at North Dalton Park.
