IHMRI is hosting interactive webinars featuring five expert speakers to celebrate the week.
Bite Size Science, starting August 17, will feature a range of topics, including neurodegenerative diseases, diet and lifestyle, and how worms can unlock medical mysteries.
Dr. Luke McAlary, Prof. Heath Ecroyd, Prof. Marie Ranson, Dr. Monique Francois and Dr. Yee Lian Chew will present their research each day and host an interactive question and answer session with the audience.
IHMRI community engagement officer Kate Brett explained that promoting this research to the public is vital in moving forward with medical advancement.
"We were all so excited to invite the public into IHMRI to answer the questions they have about what we do here. Obviously the coronavirus has meant that we had to go virtual, but the opportunity is still so great for researchers and the public," she said.
The webinars are free to attend, however registration is essential.
