The bad or the tough stories are easy to find at the moment.
The scale of job losses we are now seeing across the country is heart breaking.
We've seen the devastation of entire industries like the airlines with Qantas announcing this week another 2500 more jobs to go.
Later on the same day news came out of the collapse of the fashion retailer Mosaic Brands, which includes stores such as Katies, Rockmans, Millers, Noni B, Rivers, Autograph, Crossroads, W.Lane and beme.
Mosaic announced it would close between 300 to 500 stores and 30 of Mosaic's brand stores exist in the Illawarra.
We all read these stories, we all hear these stories and they are important.
Yet we also need to know there are positive stories out there.
There are people out there reinventing themselves, doing incredible things at difficult times.
Take for example, Kiama man and local cafe owner Christian Lovatt, who is chasing his dream of opening a barista school A great story of imagination and resilience.
Then take a story like the opening of the .new $62 million Bunnings development at Kembla Grange, which required an extra 90 jobs to be added to the existing workforce which was being relocated from the Warrawong store.

"We're so excited to be investing in a new store by creating additional team member jobs and bringing a bigger and better offer to customers," Bunnings Warehouse Kembla Grange complex manager Liz Politis told the Illawarra Mercury.
Stories like these are important stories to hear at these times and we will make no apologies for telling the good stories.
Sure the employment market and the economy is challenged at the moment, but there are still some rays of sunshine making their way through the dark COVID-19 coloured clouds.
